Project Management
Step #1: Research & Planning
A member of our team will interview you to learn about your
business and website requirements. In this comprehensive
interview, a Creative Brief will be developed as you define
your target audience, your website's message, and your creative
guidelines. Your suggestions and comments during this discussion
will shape the overall flow of your new website.
Once we have all the facts, we can begin the process of
creating an original, functional and client-driven solution
tailored to your unique needs. Our recommendations will
usually then be presented in the context of a proposal for
services delineating the specific phases of the project,
deliverables, and project costs.
Step#2: Design
Following the preliminary 'research and planning' phase
in which your design requirements and project parameters
are clearly established, we will create an integrated design
for your website complimented by an intuitive navigation
system. Depending on your needs, page design and style will
either be developed from scratch or co-ordinated with existing
logos, photos, and promotional materials. If you already
have a well established corporate identity, elements including
colour, font, and layout specifications can be used to guide
the design process.
Two design comps (limited prototypes)
will be prepared for your review and selection.
Step #3: Production
Once the design and content of your site are determined,
our production and programming team will transform the plan
into working code. At Mira Interactive, we successfully
combine a flair for design with knowledge of the industry's
best Internet technologies - Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator,
HTML, Macromedia Flash, Fireworks, JavaScript, database
and e-commerce programming are all part of our web development
toolbox.
As much an art as a science, the underlying
code is every bit as important as the marketing, graphic
design and strategic thinking in a web project. We place
as much importance on scalability, reliability and performance
as we do on creating a user-friendly and attractive end-product.
Step #4: Testing
When production of your site is completed, it will need
to be tested. At this point a Beta Build site will be created
for viewing and evaluation. Every element of your site will
be tested on a wide variety of browsers and platforms at
varying connection speeds to ensure maximum functionality.
Step #5: Launch & Maintenance
Once testing has been completed, your project will be ready
to launch. We will ask you to have a final review of your
site and sign-off on its completion. An effective launch
strategy will be developed and your site will officially
go "live". At this stage, and depending on your
project needs, a plan for ongoing maintenance can be provided.
Project Management
Effective leadership throughout the web-development process
outlined above will enable us to effectively meet your project
goals on budget and on time. Close consultation, appropriate
planning, and an understanding of key dates and deliverables
means you will always know how your site is progressing.
